Casa Benissa is located in enchanting Benissa Playa, strategically located between the bustling towns of Calpe and Moraira, but also a short distance from other beautiful coastal towns such as Jávea, Denia and Altea on the Costa Blanca in Spain.
Benissa
The centre of Benissa is worth a visit. You will find bakeries, butchers, an ice cream parlour and several nice coffee shops. There are also several good (tapas) restaurants and you can enjoy strolling through the alleys of this beautiful authentic town. Every Saturday there is a large clothes and goods market from 10 am - 2 pm.
Calpe
Just a short drive from Casa Benissa you will find Calpe, known for its iconic limestone rock, the Peñón de Ifach, which rises from the sea and offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. Calpe also offers a bustling town centre full of shops, restaurants and bars, as well as beautiful marinas where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the waterfront.
Moraira
On the other side of Casa Benissa is Moraira, a charming fishing village known for its picturesque harbour, winding streets and idyllic coves. Here you can enjoy delicious fresh fish in the many seaside restaurants, or just relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the leisurely pace of life by the Mediterranean.
The Jalon Valley
Benissa is close to the Jalon Valley. This valley consists of the villages: Jalón, Alcalalí, Llíber, Parcent, Murla, Benichembla, Senija and Castell de Castells. All small and nice villages to visit. In the valley you can enjoy beautiful hiking and bikes. The route from Llíber and Jalón is full of vineyards, olive and almond groves. They produce mainly sweet wines that taste good as dessert wines. The famous Moscatel and Mistella come from here. A visit to one of the bodegas should not be missed while visiting the valley.
Jávea
Jávea, also known as Xàbia, is a picturesque coastal town characterised by its beautiful beaches, historic old town and the iconic Montgó mountain that watches over the town. Visitors can enjoy the lively marina, sample delicious local dishes in the many restaurants and admire the breathtaking views from the Cabo de la Nao lighthouse.
Denia
A lively port city, Denia offers a mix of history, culture and natural beauty. Explore Denia's historic castle, stroll through the cobbled streets of the old town and enjoy the extensive sandy beaches stretching along the coast. Denia is also known for its excellent gastronomy, with an abundance of restaurants serving local specialities such as fresh fish and seafood.
Altea
Altea, with its picturesque old town and whitewashed houses, is a true pearl on the Costa Blanca. The picturesque centre is located atop the mountain. In the 'white village' you can enjoy wandering through the narrow little streets and shopping at small boutiques. Stroll through the narrow streets, admire the beautiful blue dome of the Church of the Virgin of the Escape, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea from the picturesque promenade. Altea is also an important artistic centre, with numerous galleries and artists inspired by the enchanting beauty of the area. Altea has long sandy beaches with promenade and many Beach clubs where you can have great food and drinks.
Alicante and Valencia
Benissa lies between the big cities of Alicante and Valencia. Alicante is less known to the general public than Valencia, but also a super fun city to visit. You drive to Alicante in just under an hour, Valencia is just over an hour away.
