1. Explore the beaches
   

   Ibiza is known for its beautiful beaches. Visit popular spots such as:
   Playa d'en Bossa is a 2-kilometre-long beach within walking distance of the Marina in Ibiza town
   Cala d'Hort is to enjoy peace, nature and sensational views. Mainly couples and families, but also burgundians and foodies who like to come here for an extended one, sundrenched lunch or relaxed dinner at one of the three restaurants.
   Cala Llonga is a particularly popular resort in eastern Ibiza, a peaceful, medium-sized bay with numerous hotels, shops, bars, restaurants, pharmacy, supermarket and a small sea promenade.
   Elements is a very well-known beach restaurant on the island for in cosy boho atmosphere overlooking the blue water or dining during sunset.

2. Explore the old town
   

   Dalt Vila, or the old town of Ibiza City, is a must-see in Ibiza. Meet one of the best-preserved and largest fortresses in the Mediterranean.Ibiza is on the list of most popular destinations within Europe. No surprise to us: Ibiza is also just really super cool. And especially Ibiza Town. Ibiza Town, called Eivissa by locals on the Spanish island, will undoubtedly be one of your holiday highlights.Not only because you can eat well here in the many restaurants on the quayside, but especially because of the town's historic core, Dalt Vila. Take a two-kilometre walk around the stronghold and on the ramparts, then dive into the city and stroll through the narrow alleys.

3. Enjoy the nightlife
   

   You can divide Ibiza Town, or Eivissa, into two nightlife areas: La Marina and Sa Penya. La Marina is the harbour area. Here you will find many chic nightlife spots, such as the club El Divino. Walk around the harbour too and admire the luxury yachts moored here. Sa Penya is more in the bustling city centre. Stroll through the cosy, winding streets, order a drink from one of the many bars and take a moment to enjoy everything around you. Close to Ibiza Town are the famous clubs Pacha and Amnesia. If you go a little further, you'll get to the Privilege. At this biggest club in the world, you will go wild with 10,000 other partygoers.

4. Taste the local dishes
   

   Ibiza's gastronomy stands for flavourful dishes using local and often raw ingredients. This Spanish island is the perfect destination for gourmets and other holidaymakers who are culinary.A meal in Ibiza usually starts with some bread, aioli, olives and a nice glass of wine, followed by a traditional main course with fresh ingredients.Ibiza has endless excellent restaurants. El Chiringuito Ibiza is highly recommended for people who like simple seafood dishes and Sa Capella is a chic restaurant serving refined specialities.

5. Explore natural parks
   

   One of Ibiza's biggest attractions is its nature. Unfortunately, nature has not yet been discovered by the many tourists. This is a shame because the beautiful natural parks are really a draw for hikers and peace-seekers. Especially the large amount of pine trees attract attention on the island. The Greeks therefore called it the island of pine trees. In fact, pine trees have shaped Ibiza's landscape for 7,000 years. This has been established with scientific studies.

   Ses Salines Natural Park

   The Ses Salines Natural Park is also a beautiful area to visit. With an area of 3,000 hectares on land and 13,000 hectares in the sea, this landscape is huge. Located in the south of Ibiza, the natural park even covers part of the island of Formentera. The park introduces you to deserted beaches and beautiful salt lakes.

   The rocky coast makes the nature park an excellent habitat for the peregrine falcon and the osprey. You can still enjoy deserted beaches and tranquillity in this nature reserve.

   Es Vedrá

   Visit the nature reserve during sunset Es Vedrà. You can enjoy the most beautiful sunset here where the mountain Es Vedrà forms a silhouette in the water. At sunset, this is perhaps one of Ibiza's most magical spots. Of course, you can also enjoy the sunset in San José At Cala Conta.

6. Shopping
   

   Ibiza has great boutiques and markets where you can buy unique souvenirs and clothes.

   The hippy market

   When you think of Ibiza, you think of the hippy market. And this is definitely a must if you want to do some shopping. The best known are Las Dalias in San Carlos and the Sant Jordi market. Las Dalias' hippy market has a wide range of fun stalls. Whether you are looking for clothes, jewellery, decoration or natural cosmetics, you are guaranteed to succeed here. Most products are handmade and sold by small local entrepreneurs. Furthermore, this market also offers food, drinks and live music. Keep an eye on the online calendar for opening hours and events. In addition, the Sant Jordi market is highly recommended. This horse racing track is transformed into a flea market once a week on Saturdays. From second-hand clothes to antique gems you will find at this market. And even if you are not looking for anything, it is great to stroll around this market with a bag of fresh churros...

   Happinez Ibiza

   Just off the authentic village of San José is this unique concept store from a Dutch owner. With products from all over the world, you can find clothes, decoration and furniture here. In this shop you immediately get the ultimate Ibiza feeling. And how nice is it if you can take this feeling into your own home. And if you run out of space in your suitcase, no problem! These days, they also have the option of having products delivered. Depending on where you live, this can sometimes be very advantageous. Be sure to combine this shop with a visit to the cosy village of San José for a delicious coffee or lunch.

   Santa Gertrudis

   one of Ibiza's prettiest villages, Santa Gertrudis. Here you will go back in time and enjoy the beautiful Spanish streets and squares. With small boutiques and several terraces under the trees, you can't skip Santa Gertrudis while visiting an Ibiza. Be sure to shop at Es Cocons, l_mentalibiza, La Galerie Elefante and Sluiz. By the way, you can also have a great time in Sluiz if it rains a day in Ibiza.

   Ibiza and Dalt Vila

   And last but not least, Ibiza town. The island's capital is home to the great variety of shops. From the well-known chain shops in the centre to cute boutiques in the old Dalt Vila. And if you prefer to go for an exclusive outfit, you can succeed on the Vara de Rey. If you would like to visit the small streets of Dalt Vila in summer, you should preferably do so at the end of the afternoon, when it is less warm. Ibiza town should not be missed on your trip and is an ideal outing for the whole family!

Back to Benissa
